Donors

We are very grateful for our donors’ generous contributions to the Leimert Park Garden Tour Association and for their support of our mutual efforts to bring gardens and people together in our vibrant neighborhood.

Horticulturist and landscape designer Brent Green has been conceptualizing and installing stunning landscapes for a quarter of a century. Landscapes of remarkable beauty and distinction that function as livable extensions of the home are the specialty of GreenArt Landscape Design.

Brent was a Leimert Park resident for several years and is passionate about the neighborhood. He has been an active member of the Leimert Park Garden Tour Association since its formation in 2015, and was responsible for designing, installing and maintaining the trees and plants in the Degnan Median, our Association's first neighborhood beautification project.

Robert "Mateo" Rubio, a decades-long resident of Leimert Park and a Leimert Park Garden Tour Association member since its inception, began planting poinsettias throughout the neighborhood in 2005. After a long hiatus, Mateo was inspired to resurrect The Poinsettia Project in December 2022, planting 500 poinsettias in Leimert Park as a tribute to his father and the 500+ neighborhood residents who lost their lives to COVID during the pandemic. You can read more about Mateo and The Poinsettia Project on our website Blog.

As a 14 year resident of Leimert Park, Patrica Santacruz is an avid fan of gardens (and people) in the neighborhood. She told us that one of the first things she did when moving into her home was to strip the lawn, scatter wild flower seeds and wait for the trees and shrubs to get established. "We consider the garden a work in progress, one that has allowed us a way to share our love of nature while connecting with our neighbors."
